Hall of Fame
The first men's lacrosse Middle Atlantic Conference Scholar Athlete and USILA Scholar All-American in school history, Victor Marchetti is the seventh player associated with the men's lacrosse program to be inducted into the hall of fame. Marchetti was a two-time all-conference selection as a defender and earned a spot on Inside Lacrosse.com's Preseason All-MAC team as a senior. In 2011, the defender tied the school-record for games played and started, marks that stood for eight years, while leading the team with 21 caused turnovers and adding 36 groundballs. He also posted a game-winning goal against Manhattanville on April 9 and earned MAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the week of April 25. As a senior, Marchetti earned his First Team All-Commonwealth Conference honors. He started all 15 games for the Warriors, picking up 33 groundballs and adding nine caused turnovers. The Cortland, N.Y., native finished his career seventh in school history with 37 caused turnovers. During his career, Marchetti was a key factor as a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter, helping the Warriors win 37 games and reach the Middle Atlantic Conference playoffs three times. As freshman, he helped the Warriors finish tied for first in the league's regular-season standings. In the classroom, Marchetti was just as impressive, earning two MAC Academic Honor Roll citations and induction into the Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society, the Omicron Delta Epsilon Economics Honor Society and the Phi Sigma Iota International Foreign Language Honor Society. In 2013, he was named to the MAC Century Team.
After graduation, Marchetti moved to Chicago and continued to play lacrosse with club teams in the Midwest, also working with the True Lacrosse program in Chicago, coaching U15 and U17 teams. He plays in a men's hockey league and has begun a CrossFit training regimen. He has also ran the Chicago Marathon Twice. He currently works for Arceo.ai, an end-to-end cyber risk analytics company, where he leads Insurance Distribution. He and girlfriend, Maggie, reside in Chicago with their dog, Maddox.
