Incoming Transfer Students
If you are interested in transferring to Lycoming College from either a 2 or 4-year college, the Athletic Department needs to receive written permission to contact you from your current school before the coaches are able to contact you directly. This can occur through a written release or entry into the NCAA Transfer Portal. If you are interested, and would like us to start the process, please contact the head coach of the program you would like to play in, and let him/her know you are interested in transferring to Lycoming. They will request permission to talk with you about transferring from your current school.
Student-athletes at the NCAA Division III level may only contact athletics department staff members regarding transfering following the completion of a Permission To Contact: Self Release form. That form isÂ
available in .pdf format from the NCAA website.

Outgoing Transfer Students
While we never want to see a student transfer from Lycoming College, we do understand Lycoming is not the perfect fit for everyone. If you are interested in transferring from Lycoming College, the Athletic Department will give permission to other athletic programs to talk to you. Â
If you are interested in transferring to a Division III school, please use the Permission To Contact: Self Release form. That form isÂ
available in .pdf format from the NCAA website. This process allows confidentiality for the first 30 days of the recruitment process with any Division III school.
If you are interested in any institution in the NCAA being able to reach out to you (or being able to reach out yourself to any Division II or Division I institutions) about transferring, please contact Joe Guistina atÂ
guistina@lycoming.edu, saying that you would like to be added to the NCAA Transfer Portal. Please remember that this is public information that any coach in the NCAA can see. In order to be added to the portal, a student-athlete MUST:
1. First be registered with the
NCAA Eligibility Center. Click on Create Profile Option 1 or Option 2 depending on your situation.
2. Provide the following information in an e-mail to Joe Guistina:
  a. an expressed desire to be added to the NCAA Transfer PortalÂ
  b. provide the NCAA ID that was issued after the student-athlete registered with the NCAA Eligibility Center
  c. an e-mail address and phone number where you would like to be reached by other institutions
  d. answer whether you would like to be contacted by other institutions or if you would like to only reach out to institutions yourself
  e. answer whether you plan to be transferring as a traditional or graduate studentÂ
