Hall of Fame
Tim Deasey, the 62nd person associated with the football program inducted into the hall of fame, left his mark as one of the greatest tailbacks in school history. Though a full-time starter for just two seasons, Deasey set the school record with 29 career rushing touchdowns and he is second in school history with 2,868 regular-season rushing yards. Stepping in as the feature tailback as a junior, Deasey, a Norwood, Pa., native, responded to the call by becoming the only running back in school history to record back-to-back 1,000-rushing-yard seasons. As a junior, he posted 1,026 yards, becoming just the second rusher in the program history to reach the 1,000-yard plateau and he blasted that mark as a junior, rushing for 1,247 yards and a school-record 13 rushing touchdowns. He also set the school’s mark for points scored (86) and rushing yards per game (138.6) as a senior while leading the MAC in rushing. He turned in several jaw-dropping performances, scoring a MAC record five touchdowns at Juniata and running for a school-record 253 yards against Lebanon Valley. Overall, the two-time First Team All-MAC running back is in the top 10 in nine of the school’s career categories and in the top 10 13 times in single-season categories.
