One of three players in school history with 100 points, Chris Lorenzet was a threat to find the back of the net at any time in his career with the Warriors. Lorenzet is the ninth person associated with Lycoming men’s soccer to earn induction to the Athletics Hall of Fame.
Lorenzet helped the Warriors improve by seven and a half games during his sophomore year. He scored 10 goals and added five assists to earn First Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors as the sophomore helped the men’s soccer team become the first to reach the postseason in the new league.
As a junior, he was even better, scoring 14 goals and adding eight assists to help the team reach its second straight postseason. The Forest Hill, Md., native led the MAC Commonwealth in goals and he tied the school record with seven game-winning goals as he helped the team to a 12-6-1 record. He also earned Third Team All-Region accolades on top of his second first-team all-conference plaudits.
As a senior, he led the team in goals for a fourth straight year, posting 11 to go with nine assists and he became just the third player in school history to reach 100 career points, reaching the mark six games into the season when he headed in a second half goal in the Battle of the Boot to give Lycoming a 3-0 win over rival Susquehanna.Â
Lorenzet is still third in school history with 116 career points, 44 goals and 28 assists and second with 12 game-winning goals. He helped the Warriors to a 42-26-6 record in his career.Â
