A part of the offensive line during one of the most prosperous periods in the football program’s history, Mike Kemmerer helped lead the Warriors to a 36-0 record in regular-season play, as the team made four appearances in the NCAA Division III Championship in his career, taking a trip to the national semifinals as a freshman, the championship game as a sophomore and the quarterfinals as a senior. Kemmerer is the 80th person associated with Lycoming football to earn induction to the Athletics Hall of Fame.

Coming into his own on the line in his final two years on the team, the Mill Hall, Pa., native was named the 1998 Downtown Wilkes-Barre Touchdown Club MAC Offensive Lineman of the Year and was a two-time First Team All-MAC pick in 1998 and ‘99.

During his career, the Warriors set single-season records for rushing (2460, 1997), passing (275.0 per game, 1998), total offense (4732, 1997; 418.8 per game, 1998), all-purpose (5815, 1997) and scoring (362, 1997).

An iron man, Kemmerer started all 46 games on the line between 1996-99, helping the team to a school-record 42 wins. He also served as a team captain as a senior.

After graduation, Kemmerer stayed active in the game of football while working in criminal justice. He was an assistant coach at Southern Columbia in 2015-18, helping the Tigers to a pair of state titles. For the past year, he has served as a captain at the US Penitentiary at Lee County in Southern Virginia.
