2015 NCAA D-III All-American - 3rd place (165 pounds)
Nolan Barger capped off his first All-American season in 2015 with three wins, including one over the tournament's top-seed, to finish third at 165 pounds at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships at the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa.
 
Barger notched a pin, a major decision and a regular decision, as he finished the tournament by earning 17.5 team points, which helped the Warriors finish 21st at the meet with 18.5 team points.
 
Barger began his run on Saturday by posting a pin of Hunter's Jesse Bader in 40 seconds, scoring an early takedown before scoring his second pin of the tournament and his 11th of the season.
 
In the consolation semifinals, Barger had to come from behind to beat the tournament's top-seed Wartburg's Andrew Steiert, 6-4. He fell behind 2-0 after Steiert scored a first-period takedown and then added more than two minutes of riding time. In the second period, Barger earned an escape, but not before he was hit with a stalling call and Steiert continued to get riding time. In the third period, though, Barger caught Steiert's leg at the edge of the mat, pulled him back in bounds, and then got under his neck for the cradle, scoring a takedown and 3-point near fall to take the lead in the final 30 seconds.
 
In the third-place match, Barger had a rematch with Waynesburg's Sam Guidi, who defeated him in the quarterfinals. This time, Barger dominated en route to a 12-2 win. He got behind Guidi for a first-period takedown and then got two back points near the edge of the mat. In the second period, Barger earned an escape to expand the lead to five points. Barger added antoher takedown in the third period with a mighty mat return before Guidi escaped to make it 7-1. He followed with another takedown and two-point near fall before adding the riding time point.

Barger opened his tournament on Friday with a 5-3 win over Luther's Blake Lettney before falling to Waynesburg's Sam Guidi in the quarterfinals, 3-2. In his first wrestleback, Barger pinned his opponent, Lakeland's Mitchell Fucile in 59 seconds to earn All-American honors.
 
Barger finished his sophomore year with a 36-8 record, which is tied for the fifth-most wins in program history. He posted 11 falls (tied for 10th in program history), three technical falls, six major decisions and 13 decisions.

2016 NCAA D-III All-American - 3rd place (165 pounds)
In 2016, Barger opened his run through the consolation bracket on Saturday by defeating the tournament's top-seed, Coe's Farai Sewera, posting a first-period takedown and four-point near fall to take control before earning two late escapes and a riding-time point.

In the consolation semifinal, Barger faced off with No. 8 seed Eric Hensel and fell behind, 2-0 off an early takedown, but Barger fought back with a reversal and rode out the rest of the period. In the second period, he chose down, earned an escape and then a takedown to take a 5-3 lead into the third period, where he added one more takedown and the riding-time point to finish off the 8-3 win.
 
Facing off with Stevens' Colin Navickas, the sixth-seeded grappler that beat Barger in the quarterfinals, in the third-place bout, Barger dominated, posting two takedowns in a 6-1 win, as he finished in third place for the second straight year.
 
On Friday, the third-seeded Barger delivered a dominating performance to earn his second career All-American honors in the round of 12, posting a 14-0 major decision against Delaware Valley's Benjamin Schweiger. In the quarterfinals, Barger fell victim to three second-period points from sixth-seeded Colin Navickas of Stevens, as Navickas held on for a 3-2 win.
 
In his first round match on Friday morning, Barger made quick work of Cole Sladek of Concordia-Moorhead. Sladek went for a single leg and Barger went for the headlock, turning it into a cement mixer to turn Sladek and put him on his back in just 31 seconds to move on to the quarterfinals for the second straight year.

2017 NCAA D-III All-American - 6th place (165 pounds)
As a senior, Barger posted a 38-6 record, recording 16 pins en route to his third appearance at nationals and All-American finish.

In the third period of his consolation quarterfinal bout, Barger completed a remarkable comeback against Wartburg's eighth-seeded Andrew Steiert after falling behind 8-4 in the first period. Using a gator roll with 20 seconds left in the match, Barger scored a four-point near fall and nearly a pin to tie the match and after a video review, he was awarded with three more seconds of riding time to give him 1:01 in the match to earn a 9-8 decision.
 
Messiah's Larry Cannon posted a 10-2 major decision win in the consolation semifinals over Barger, sending Barger to the fifth-place match, where Baldwin-Wallace's Anthony Arroyo notched a first-period pin.
 
On Friday, Barger, the No. 6 seed, opened the tournament with a pin of TCNJ's Nick Herring in 3:32. In the quarterfinals, Barger was defeated by the No. 3 seed Collin Jarrell of Johnson & Wales, 3-1, on a third-period takedown. He rebounded in the All-American round against No. 5 seed Connor Brummelt of Wabash, scoring his 16th pin of the year in 2:26.
 
Barger finished with a 139-28 record in his career, finishing his time with the blue and gold second in school history in career wins and second with 47 falls.
