FREDERICK, Md. – For the second time this season and third time in her career, senior
Kaylee Long (Milton, Pa./Milton) has set the Lycoming College women's cross country team's program-record for fastest 6K race with a run of 23:48.7, placing ninth, at the Hood College Open, on Saturday morning, Oct. 19, at Utica Park.

Long bested her previous program-record run of 23:57.1, set at the Lock Haven University Invitational on Sept. 21. Long originally broke the mark as a freshman in 2016 when she finished the NCAA Mideast Regional in 24:01.

Long's top-ten finish led the women to eighth-place out of a field of 13 teams.

Claire Shaffer (Sayre, Pa./Sayre) had the fastest race of her young career, finishing in 27:09.8 to place 58
th and junior
Amanda Goulden (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) came in behind her with a race of 30:31.5. Junior
Annabelle Brinkerhoff (Milanville, Pa./Honesdale) finished in a career-best 32:06.5 to earn 89
th. Senior
Kayla Nowak (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) rounded out the team's top-five with a race of 33:12.2, placing 110
th.

Logan Franquet (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock) led the men's team to a 12
th-place finish out of 15 teams with a time of 31:07.5, placing 81
st. Junior
Daniel Moses (Cape May, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) finished second on the team and 87
th overall with a run of 32:10.4. Junior
Maverick Stenger (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) came in just behind him with a run of 32:19.8 to place 89
th and freshman
Geo Castillo (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg Area) notched a personal-best by shaving two minutes off his previous top time with a run of 33:38.6. Freshman
Guillermo Quintero (Austin, Texas/KIPP Austin) rounded out the team's top-five with a time of 33:55.1, placing 109
th.

The Warriors now have a 13-day rest before returning to Frederick, Md., to compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday morning, Nov. 2. The men run at 11 a.m. with the women set to follow at 12 p.m.
