GRANTHAM, Pa. – Freshman
Quincy Amabile (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) continued his fantastic season by finishing 12
th to become the first Lycoming College men's cross country runner to earn all-conference honors since 2000 and the women's cross country team finished ninth, the program's best finish since 1994, at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at Messiah College on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Amabile posted a time of 27:21.2 on the 8K course to earn second-team all-conference honors, becoming the first Warrior to earn the accolades since Scott Condello was a three-time first-team selection from 1998-2000.

The women, meanwhile, finished ninth in a field of 16 teams, the second time since 1994 the team finished ninth, but in the largest field. The 1994 team finished eighth in a field of 12 teams. DeSales won the team title.

Freshman
Kaylee Long (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) led the women's team with a  34
th-place finish in the 156-runner field, posting a time of 25:22.0. Senior
Sarah Donovan (Bergen, N.Y./Byron-Bergen) added a 59
th-place finish in 26:10.9 and senior
Victoria Wilson (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland) took 61
st in 26:12.3. Junior
Rachel Fritz (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) took fourth on the team, finishing 68
th in 26:39.6 and junior
Lindsay Smith (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) rounded out the team's top five, taking 96
th in 28:26.1.

Amanda Goulden (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) took 104
th in 28:50.4 and senior
Jordyn Reilly (Cressona, Pa./Blue Mountain) took 122
nd in 30:03.1.

On the men's side, the team moved up two slots in the final standings from 2015, finishing 11
th in the 16-team field, while Widener took the team title.

Jacob Miller (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown Central) finished second on the team, taking 101
st in the 156-runner field in 31:04.9, junior
Joseph Ingrum (Lodi, Calif./Lodi) took 111
th in 31:46.1 and freshman
Gustavo Vergara (Santa Ana, Calif./Valley) took 112
th in 32:02.6. Freshman
James Wait (Cherry Valley, N.Y./Cherry Valley) rounded out the top five with a 124
th-place finish in 32:52.0.

Donald Keys (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) finished in 33:28.5 and sophomore
Andrew Dion (Tiverton, R.I./Tiverton) notched a time of 33:31.6.

The Warriors wrap up the 2016 season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday, Nov. 12, with the women starting at 11 a.m. and men at 12 p.m.
