FREDERICK, Md. – Senior Kaylee Long (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) led the Lycoming College cross country teams at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday morning, Nov. 2, at Utica Park, as she finished 65^th to help the women's team to a 14^th-place finish, while the men took 15^th.
 
Long posted a time of 25:19.8 to take 65^th in the field of 143 runners. Freshman Claire Shaffer (Sayre, Pa./Sayre Area) added a career-best time of 26:50.4 to take 101^st. Senior Amanda Goulden (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) posted a season-best 29:42.9 and senior Kayla Nowak (Newtown, Conn./Newtown) just missed a career-best by a tenth of a second, posting a 33:06.0. Freshmen Kaitlyn Welch (Charlotte Hall, Md./La Pluta) did post a career-best in 34:46.8.
 
On the men's side, the Warriors grouped their top seven runners within three minutes of each other, as it posted a 15^th-place finish. Senior Logan Franquet (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township) led the team with a 112^th-place finish in a career-best 30:38.6 and junior Daniel Moses (Cape May, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) added a 31:38.8 to take 123^rd. Junior Maverick Stenger (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg) posted a 31:49.7 to take 125^th and junior Guillermo Quintero (Austin, Texas/KIPP Austin) posted a career-best 33:12.13 to take 134^th and freshman Geo Castillo (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg Area) had a career-best 33:14.1 to round out the scoring five.
 
Junior Hunter Jackson (Warriors Mark, Pa./Tyrone Area) added a career-best 33:15.5 and sophomore Diego Pallares (Chicago, Ill./Bulls College Prep) posted a career-best 33:29.4. Sophomore Zeb Harshbarger (Reedsville, Pa./Mifflin County) (35:30.4) and freshman Chris Alvarado (San Antonio, Texas/KIPP San Antonio) (40:01.8) also had career bests.
 
The Warriors wrap up the 2019 season at the NCAA Mideast Regional at Lehigh University on Saturday, Nov. 16, with the men's race starting at 11 a.m. and the women's at 12 p.m.
