NEWVILLE, Pa. – Setting a personal-best for the third straight meet, senior
Rachel Fritz (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) ran the third fastest time in program history to lead the Lycoming College women's cross country team to a 38
th-place finish at the NCAA Mideast Regional at Dickinson College on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 11.
The women placed 38
th on the 6k course, the second-best finish in program history, out of 60 teams while the men finished 49
th on the 8k course.
Fritz ran a 24:23, good for 95th out of 351 runners, as she bested her previous-best mark of 25:03.5 set at the MAC Championship on Oct. 28. Sophomore
Kaylee Long (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) finished second on the team and 140
th in the meet as she ran a season-best 24:59.6. Sophomore
Amanda Goulden (Wharton, N.J.Morris Hills) ran a 28:58.7, good for 278
th place. It was just off her season-best run of 29:26.3 set at the MACs.
Rounding out the top-five spots for the women was senior
Kaitlin Fair (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central), who placed 309
th with her 32:07.8 and junior
Kaitlyn Barmore (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury), who finished 310
th with her 32:22.8 run. Barmore's season-best run 34:03.5 set at the DeSales Invite.
Leading the men was freshman
Maverick Stenger (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area), who placed 309
th with his run of 32:20.1. Stenger was just 10 seconds off of setting his career-best run of 32:10.1 set at the DeSales Invite. Senior
Joseph Ingrum (Lodi, Calif./Lodi) finished right behind Stenger with a season-best run of 32:27.8, as he placed 312
th. Junior
Andrew Dion (Tiverton, R.I./Tiverton)Â placed 317th and finished with a season-best run of 32:54.3 and rounding out the top five was freshman
Daniel Moses (Cape May, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) who ran a 34:56.9, placing 331
st and senior
Sean Hastings (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy), who placed 334
th with his run of 36:17.1. Moses' season-best was a 29:37.3 set at the Gettysburg Invite while Hastings' was a 33:32.2 set at the Gettysburg Invite.
