CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – With a school-record tying performance, freshman
Quincy Amabile (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) led the Lycoming College cross country team with a 45
th-place finish at the DeSales Cross Country Invitational, as he posted a 27:06 on the 8K course on a cool Saturday, Oct. 7.

Amabile tied the school record of 27:06 set by Greg Seymour in a dual meet with King's in 1994 and edged out the mark of 27:14.5 set by Scott Condello at the 1999 MAC Championships. Amabile is just the sixth runner in program history to post an 8K time of less than 28:00.

On the women's side, freshman
Kaylee Long (Milton, Pa./Milton Area) also posted a performance for the record books, coming up just 1.2 seconds shy of the school record of 24:14.8 set by Michelle Herman at the 2009 NCAA Regional. Long finished 54
th in a field of 255 and helped the varsity women finish in 17
th place in a field of 35 and she is the third runner in program history to post a time of less than 25:00 in a 6K race.

Rachel Fritz (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) followed Long with a career-best 26:10 to take 119
th, senior
Sarah Donovan (Bergen, N.Y./Byron-Bergen) finished in 26:21 to take 125
th in her best career run at the DeSales course, and senior
Victoria Wilson (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland) added a career-best 26:26 to take 133
rd. Rounding out the scoring five, freshman
Amanda Goulden (Wharton, N.J./Morris Hills) added a career-best 28:00 to take 174
th. Senior
Abigail O'Connor (Mt. Holly Springs, Pa./Home-schooled) finished in 31:46 in the varsity race.

Jacob Miller (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown Central) finished second for the men's team, which took 21
st in a field of 38 teams, as he notched his first time of better than 30 minutes this year, taking 140
th in a field of 255 runners in 29:58.

Joseph Ingrum (Lodi, Calif./Lodi) finished 169
th in 31:09, sophomore
Andrew Dion (Tiverton, R.I./Tiverton) took 192
nd in 32:50 and senior
Donald Keys (Erie, Pa./Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy) took 199
th in 33:06 to round out the top five. Senior
John Woodburn (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) (36:17) and junior
Sean Hastings (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) (36:44) also factored into the team scoring for the Warriors.

The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, Oct. 15, when they head to the Gettysburg Invitational. The men's race starts at 10:30 a.m. and the women will start at 11:30 a.m.
