Switzer, Franco earn all-conference nods

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Seniors Jakob Switzer (West Pittston, Pa./Wyoming Area) and Ben Franco (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) wrapped up their careers with the Lycoming College men's lacrosse team by earning slots on the honorable mention portion of the All-Landmark Conference team, the conference office announced on Wednesday, April 30.

Switzer, a longstick midfielder, earned his first all-conference honors after he led the Landmark Conference in caused turnovers per game for the second year in a row. Switzer, after finishing 16th in Division III in caused turnovers in 2024, posted 2.14 per game to finish 50th as a senior, becoming the first Warrior to reach 100 caused turnovers in a career. The West Pittston, Pa., native posted career highs of two goals, eight assists and 61 groundballs, as he finished fourth in the league in groundballs at 4.36 per game.

Switzer is Lycoming's first longstick midfielder to earn all-conference honors since Austin Arroyo was a Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth pick in 2019.

Franco, a goalkeeper, earned his third career all-conference honors, as he was also an honorable mention selection in the Landmark in 2024 and MAC Freedom in 2023. Franco set a Landmark Conference and Lycoming College record with 283 saves, as Franco finished fourth in the NCAA with 18.87 saves per game. He broke his own conference record by making 190 saves in the nine Landmark Conference contests. He also finished fourth in the conference and 35th in Division III with a .573 save percentage. He set a school record with a 32-save game against Elizabethtown and he notched two 30-save games and six 20-save efforts. His 978 career saves are 10th in NCAA Division III history.

Franco joins Michael Tenant '19 as the only three-time all-conference goalkeepers in Lycoming's history.

The Warriors finished 6-9 overall and 2-7 in the Landmark Conference under second-year head coach Tony Mackin.
