WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College senior men's lacrosse defender
Michael Lavinio (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Saint Joseph Regional) was honored as part of the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team for the men's lacrosse team, the organization announced on Tuesday, June 18.

Lavinio, a business administration and philosophy major, started all 15 games as a defender in 2025, posting 11 groundballs and causing three turnovers. His biggest play came in a 16-15 win over King's on March 19, when he forced a King's attacker out of bounds with 46 seconds left, setting up the game-winning goal 29 seconds later.

Lavinio, a goalkeeper his first two years as a Warrior before moving to the field, appeared in 37 career games, posting 15 groundballs in his career.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In men's lacrosse, eligible student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically, carry at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have competed in 90% of the TEAM's total games played OR have started 66% of the team's total games.
