SCRANTON, Pa.—The Lycoming College swim team logged a second-place finish and also set several season bests on the first day of the Electric City Invitational on Friday, Nov. 21 at the Marywood University Aquatics Center.
The evening was highlighted by sophomore
Sean Martinez (Willow Grove, Pa. / Upper Moreland) taking second in the men's 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:23.69. First year
Dominic De Mar (Phoenix, Ariz. / Horizon) took fourth in the same event, finishing in 18:54.81.
The Warriors' men's 200-yard freestyle relay team posted a fourth-place finish, with junior
Drew Degnan (Elmira, N.Y. / Elmira), first year
Jason Ricci (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill), junior
Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg), and Martinez finishing the race in 1:36.70, shaving just under a second off the previous season best for the event.
Lycoming's 200-yard medley relay teams posted a season-best times on both the men's and women's side. The men saw Ricci, De Mar, Degnan, and Martinez finishing a competitive race in 1:47.46, the Warriors' fastest time in the event since the 2022-23 season. For the women, first year

Madison Robbins (Wellsboro, Pa. / Wellsboro), junior
Anasten Holbrook (Parker, Colo. / Colorado Early Colleges-Douglas County), and junior
Gwyn Fox (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) clocked in at 2:10.36, the fastest time since last season's Landmark Conference Championships.
Senior
Megan Lonergan (York, Pa. / York Suburban) also clocked in a season-best time in the 1650-yard freestyle, putting in a mark of 21:04.88.
The invitational will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22 before concluding on Sunday afternoon.
