WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - An accomplished group of three swimmers will join the Lycoming College swim teams in 2022-23, third-year head coach Andrew Dragunas announced on Wednesday, July 20.
 
The group includes two women's swimmers and one men's swimmer.
 
The Warrior men finished ninth out of 14 teams at the 2022 MAC Championships and the women finished 11th. Senior Katherine Brown (Glenside, Pa./Abington) paced the team, earning the college's first bid to the NCAA Championships since 2003 and winning two MAC individual titles.
 
Augustus Wood (Herndon, Va./Herndon)
A four-year letterwinner in swimming at Herndon … a two-time regional qualifier and four-time district qualifier … took ninth in 500-yard freestyle (5:27.39) at regional championships and seventh at district championships (5:35.42) as a senior … also took 16^th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.72) at district championships … notched top times of 25.95 in 50-yard freestyle, 55.70 in the 100, 2:02.70 in the 200, 5:21.54 in the 500, 10:54.17 in the 1000 and 18:24.58 in the 1,650 … has swam all 14 individual events in competition … swam club with Herndon Aquatic Club.
 
Megan Lonergan (York, Pa./York Suburban)
A four-year letterwinner in swimming at York Suburban … a two-time district qualifier and three-time league championships qualifier … placed eighth in district in 500-yard freestyle (5:38.84) and 200-yard freestyle (2:04.70) as a sophomore … took ninth at league championships in 500-yard freestyle (5:48.82) and 22^nd in 100-yard backstroke (1:10.64) as a senior … swam club with the Trojan Aquatic Club.
 
Evan Hamm (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area)
A two-year letterwinner at Montoursville Area and one-year letterwinner at Williamsport Area … a two-time district qualifier and four-time district finalist … finished fourth in 500-yard freestyle (5:22.12) and fifth in 200-yard individual medley (2:09.33) as a sophomore … took fourth in the 500-yard freestyle (5:30.23) and fifth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.63) as a ninth grader … swam club with Eastern Lycoming YMCA … a three-time qualifier for the state YMCA Championships … posted top times of 24.60 in the 50-yard freestyle, 1:00.26 in the 100-yard backstroke, 1:01.18 in the 100-yard butterfly, 2:16.62 in the 200-yard butterfly, 2:09.33 in the 200-yard individual medley and 4:44.68 in the 400-yard individual medley.
