DALLAS, Pa. - Sophomore
Michelle Herman posted her top five finish during the women's 5K race with a season-best time of 20:58.60, and freshman Michael Puchalski posted his first career top 25 finish, as he posted a time of 30:49.60 to take 22nd at the Cougar Classic hosted by Misericordia University in the 8,000-meter men's event to highlight the Lycoming College cross country teams' day.
Puchalski helped pace the Warriors seventh-place finish on the men's side, while senior
Jake Lewis (Mickleton, N.J./Kingsway Regional) crossed the line in 53rd at 31:47.60. Junior Robert Wiechecki (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) added a 33:44.80 time to finish in 89th.
Freshman
Kevan Guerin (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) crossed in 35:58.60 and senior
Jordan Baker (St. Mary's Pa./Home-school) added a 38:57.70 while fellow senior
Patrick Welteroth (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) crossed in 51:23.
In the women's 5K, Herman (Altoona, Pa./Hollidaysburg) paced the Warriors, as she finished fifth in the race. Freshman
Kerri Kearney (Gardners, Pa./Bermudian Springs) added a time of 28:39.70.
The Warriors will take next week off before heading to WIlkes for the Colonel Cross Country Classic in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m.
