WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Coming off a breakthrough season, the Lycoming College field hockey team was picked to finish sixth in the Landmark Conference preseason coaches poll, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Defending champion Scranton was picked to repeat, receiving 80 points and eight first place votes, while 2025 runner-up Susquehanna was selected second, with 72 points and one first-place vote. Elizabethtown was tabbed at third with 64 points and the remaining first-place selection. Drew (53 points) and Catholic (43 points) round out the top half of the poll.

With their highest preseason selection in the five seasons since re-launching the program, Lycoming is sixth with 39 points, followed by Wilkes (36 points), Moravian (31 points), Goucher (23 points), and Juniata (9 points).

In their fourth season under head coach Allyson Kenyon, the Warriors finished 2025 with a 10-8 record and 4-5 mark in the Landmark Conference, earning a sixth-place finish and a trip to the Landmark Conference Championship. Lycoming set new standards for wins and conference wins, posted their first winning season since 1978, and played in the postseason for the first time in program history.

The team returns four of its top five scorers, including sophomore Laurel Fite (Shermans Dale, Pa./West Perry), the first Warrior since the program's relaunch to post 20 points in a season with eight goals and four assists, junior Lacy Eckard (Muncy, Pa./Muncy), who added six goals and six assists, senior Loghan Shelly (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central), who added five scores and two helpers and senior Carmen Hannon (Aldie, Va./John Champe), who posted four goals and an assist.
