Lycoming falls to Scranton

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Lycoming College field hockey team fell to the University of Scranton, 7-0, in a Landmark Conference matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at UPMC Field.

Scranton scored twice in each of the first two periods to take a 4-0 lead into halftime. The Royals added a fifth goal in the third, then put two more in the cage in the fourth.

Junior keeper Hillary Clark (Wilmington, Del. / John Dickinson) stopped six shots in the cage for the Warriors. Junior Annika Klinefelter (Mifflinburg, Pa. / Mifflinburg) notched a pair of shots.

Shana Goldsmith tallied three first-half goals for Scranton while Maggie Keys scored three times after halftime for the Royals.

The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 10, as they welcome Moravian University for a 1 p.m., Landmark Conference matchup on Senior Day at UPMC Field.
