WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – First-year Samantha Barile (Butler, N.J./Butler) was one of 543 student-athletes honored by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association as 2025 Division III Scholars of Distinction, the organization announced on Friday, Feb. 13.
 
This honor celebrates student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the fall semester and were nominated by their NFHCA member coaches. Barile is the first Warrior to earn the award.
 
The Warriors finished the 2025 season 10-8, 4-5 in Landmark Conference play under fourth-year coach Allyson Kenyon. Lycoming set program records for wins and conference wins, while posting the program's first winning record since 1978 and qualifying for the Landmark Conference Championship for the first time.
