WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Fresh off a record-breaking regular season, the Lycoming College field hockey team will continue charting their historic course by taking part in the Landmark Conference Championship for the first time, going into the tournament as the No. 6-seed and hitting the road to take on third-seeded Elizabethtown College at Wolf Field on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the game cost $11 for adults (18+) and $6 for both minors (ages 10-17) online. Landmark Conference students, faculty and staff can enter free with their campus ID. Tickets may be purchased online through Hometown Ticketing and will also be available at the gate.
The winner of that matchup will take on No. 2-seed Susquehanna at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4 in Selinsgrove, Pa.
The Warriors recorded a month-long 7-2 stretch through September and October that was instrumental in Lycoming setting school records for wins (10) and conference wins (4), while their 10-7 record was just the fourth winning mark in program history and its first since the program was reinstated in 2022 after a 30-year absence on campus.
Individually, first-year Laurel Fite (Shermans Dale, Pa. / West Perry) scored seven goals and tied sophomore Lacy Eckard's (Muncy, Pa. / Muncy) year-old program record with 18 points. For her part, Eckard added six goals and five assists for 17 points, becoming the program's all-time leader in points and goals. Senior Tayah Bauer (Duncannon, Pa. / Susquenita) added seven goals of her own.
In cage, senior Isabella Bobé (York Springs, Pa. / Bermudian Springs) played every minute of the season, allowing just 1.70 goals per game, third in the conference, posting an .824 save percentage and ranking second in the Landmark Conference with 136 saves, topping 500 saves for her career earlier in the season.
On the other side, Elizabethtown (9-9, 6-3) brings in a high-powered offense that's scored 3.17 goals per game this season, second-most in the conference. At the forefront is Drew Bridges, the Landmark Conference leader in goals (20), points (51), shots (113), and shots on goal (76), while ranking second in assists (11). Hannah Long tied for sixth in the league with 11 goals, while ranking third with eight assists.
In their regular-season matchup, the Warriors led the majority of the contest, taking a 2-1 lead into the fourth quarter thanks to second-quarter goals from Bauer and Fite. However, the Blue Jays tied it up in the first minute of the fourth, then Long scored her second goal of the game just under five minutes into overtime to give Elizabethtown a 3-2 win in the only overtime game Lycoming played this season.
