CARLISLE, Pa. – With three first-year students in the lineup, the Lycoming College golf team opened the 2025 season with a first round score of 337 at the Dickinson Fall Invitational, the team's best round since 2007 as Lycoming's five golfers finished under 90 for the first time since 2006 at the par-72, 6,670-yard Carlisle Barracks Golf Course on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 7.

The Warriors finished the first round in 21
st in the field of 21 teams, four strokes behind Wilson, while Franklin & Marshall leads the tournament after the first round with a 13-under-par 275. The team wraps up the tournament with the second round on Monday, Sept. 8, with the team's tee-off time set for 1:30 p.m.

The round of 337 is Lycoming's best since the team of Ryan Nelson, James Davidson, Jordan Isenberg and Sean Driscoll posted a 330 in the last round of the 2007 Freedom Conference Championship. Lycoming's last round with five players under 90 came the year before that at the Freedom Conference Championship, with Isenberg (75), James Bechtel (85), James Wool (84), Nelson (84) and Davidson (88).

Tre Lesperance (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) led the team with a 7-over-par 79 to finish the day in 73
rd, as he was an even-par 36 on the front nine. He birdied the 318-yard par-4 No. 4 and the 521-yard par-5 No. 9, adding 10 pars in the round.

Hill Meserve (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville) posted a 12-over-par 84, as he birdied the 326-yard par-4 No. 5 and the ninth hole as well. He was 1-over-par on the front nine and had six pars in the round.

Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) finished 16-over-par at 88, posting birdies on No. 3 and No. 9 and adding two pars in the round and junior
Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) fired a 17-over-par 89 with seven pars.
