Eberz moves up to finish fifth at Landmark Championships

SHAWNEE-ON-DELAWARE, Pa. – Sophomore Will Eberz (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) posted a 1-under-par 71 to finish the two-day tournament five-over-par and in fifth place to become the first Lycoming College men's golfer to earn first-team all-conference honors since 2006 to cap the Landmark Conference Championships at the par-72, 6,714-yard Shawnee Golf Resort on Sunday, April 27.

Eberz notched five birdies, nine pars and four bogeys as he tied his career-best round, established earlier this week during a double-dual with Wilkes and King's at Wyoming Valley Country Club. The 1-under-par effort moved Eberz from 21st all the way to fifth on the leaderboard. He notched birdies on the par-4, 366-yard No. 1, the par-5, 510-yard No. 3, the par-3, 168-yard No. 8, the par-4, 521-yard No. 15 and the par-3, 177-yard No. 16.

Eberz finished the season with an 80.0 stroke average in 17 rounds, the fourth-best season stroke average in program history, while his fifth-place finish helped him become the first first-team all-conference pick since Jordan Isenberg earned First Team All-MAC Freedom honors in 2006. Eberz is also the first Warrior to earn back-to-back all-conference honors since Isenberg in 2005-06, as he was an Honorable Mention All-Landmark Conference pick in 2024.

The Warriors improved by a stroke in the second round with a 341, finishing the event in 10th place with a 683 (342-341). Drew won the championship with a two-day 600, one stroke ahead of Scranton.

Sophomore Mikey Fry (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) fired a 85 thanks to seven pars, sophomore Connor Shanahan (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) added a 87 in a round with seven pars, and sophomore Ross Eyer (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) rounded out the scoring four with a 98. Sophomore Christian Eppley (Woodbridge, Va./Colgan) added a 99.

Shanahan finished with a two-day 170 (83-87) to take 41st in a field of 50 and Fry finished 45th with a  174 (89-85).
