WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Sophomore
Domanick Young (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) and first-year
Connor Cornelius (Linden, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) won their opening matches at the King's Invitational to move into the semifinals to highlight the Lycoming College men's tennis team's Saturday, Sept. 16, at the King's Invitational at Kirby Park.
Young, playing at No. 5 singles, defeated Misericordia's Noah Ceklosky, 6-2, 6-3, in the opening round of his tournament, helping him to move on to face Manhattanville's Guzman in the semifinals on Sunday, Sept. 16, with play beginning at 8:30 at Kirby Park.
Cornelius downed Misericordia's Derek Burcik in the opening round and will move on to face Lucas Kotchco of Scranton in the semifinals.
Senior
Luke Leach (Middlebury Center, Pa./Wellsboro Area) also downed Mikey Dylina, 6-1, 6-0 in his opening round match, but he fell in the quarterfinals.
