SCRANTON, Pa. — Senior
Junior Shams (Williamsport, Pa. / South Williamsport) and first year
Teli Bobotas (South Williamsport, Pa. / Montoursville Area) picked up victories in singles play for the Lycoming College men's tennis team, which fell, 5-2, to the University of Scranton in a Landmark Conference match on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Royal Courts.
Lycoming fell to 0-3, 0-2 in Landmark play, while Scranton moved to 3-0, 2-0 in the Landmark.
Shams picked up his victory in No. 2 singles in convincing fashion, breezing to a 6-1, 6-0 victory. Bobotas took his victory in No. 3 singles in back-and-forth fashion, emerging 6-4, 2-6, 6-1.
The Warriors will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 26, when they host a non-conference match at home with Misericordia. The match will get underway at 1 p.m.
