DALLAS, Pa. – First-year Ali Clemens (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) notched a fifth-place finish in the 5000-meter run to lead the Lycoming College cross country team as it competed in several distance races at the Misericordia Twilight Meet at the Anderson Athletic Complex on Friday night, April 16.
 
Several Warriors had solid performances in the 5000-meter run, with Clemens leading the way with a 22:01.17. First-year Madisyn Neal (Roaring Branch, Pa./Canton) contributed a seventh-place finish in 23:24.01, first-year Hiyori Iai (Zushi, Japan/Yokohama Science Frontier) took ninth in 25:47.26, sophomore Molly Jenkins (Williamsport, Pa./Homeschooled) took 10^th in 26:20.54 and sophomore Mariah Rovenolt (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) took 11^th in 28:38.87.
 
Senior Marlen Gallegos (Houston, Texas/Yes Prep North Central) took 16^th in the 1500-meter run in 6:34.31 and junior Kira Christian (New Cumberland, Pa./Red Land) took 18^th in 6:51.58.
 
On the men's side, senior Maverick Stenger (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) led the team with a sixth-place finish in the 5000-meter run, posting a time of 19:41.57 and senior Hunter Jackson (Warriors Mark, Pa./Tyrone Area) took eighth in 20:44.02.
 
Junior Brandon Gates (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) took 14^th in the 1500-meter run (5:00.73) and senior Dan Moses (Cape May, N.J./Wildwood Catholic) took 18^th in 5:46.96. Junior Maxwell Hanson (Fort Walton Beach, Fla./Bishop Machebeuf) took 16^th in the 800-meter run (2:20.64) and junior Diego Pallares (Cicero, Ill./Bulls College Prep) took 20^th in 2:33.58.
 
The Warriors will get back onto the track on Friday, April 23, when they head back to Dallas, Pa., for the Misericordia University Invitational.
