WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Junior
Katherine Brown (Glenside, Pa./Abington) set a pool record in the 100-yard breaststroke and senior
Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) won three individual events to lead the Lycoming College swimming teams against Messiah University on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Lamade Gym Natatorium.

Brown's time of 1:06.48 was nearly half a second better than the previous best, set by E. Zimmerman of Elizabethtown in the finals of the 1998 MAC Championships.

Booth won the first individual race of the day for the Warriors in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.45. In the 100-yard freestyle, he led the way with a time of 50.06, and he also took home the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:02.15.

Sophomore
Carter Branigan (Lansdowne, Pa./Commonwealth Charter) won two events of his own, the 200-yard butterfly in 2:01.96 and the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:28.25.

Junior
Matthew Michenfelder (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) won his first individual event of the season, taking the 200-yard backstroke in2:17.88. Sophomore
C.J. Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) won the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best 58.41.

Lycoming ended the day with a win in the 200-yard medley relay featuring Branigan, junior
Reilly Gluz (Syracuse, N.Y./Williston Northampton), sophomore
Eliot Keith (New Ringgold, Pa./Blue Mountain), and junior
Will Marcinkowski (Philadelphia, Pa./LaSalle College), finishing in 1:42.84. The Warriors also won the 400-yard freestyle relay with Booth, Branigan, Zortman, and Keith, in 3:24.05.

On the women's side, Brown contributed to the 400-yard freestyle relay win for the Warriors that also included senior
Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson), and sophomores
Courtney Chapman (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent) and
Elisa DiNicola (Williamsport, Pa./Loyalsock Township), as they posted a 3:52.50.

The Warriors return to the pool on Friday, Nov. 19, as they travel to Wilkes-Barre Catholic Youth Center for the Diamond City Invitational in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., at 5 p.m.
