FREDERICK, Md. – Senior
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) won both backstroke events to lead the Lycoming College men's swimming team and the women's swim team had three individual event winners on Saturday, Nov. 10, in a double-dual meet at Hood College, as the Lycoming men defeated Hood, 159-79, but fell to Misericordia, 138-111, and the Lycoming women downed Hood, 132-110, and dropped a 159-93 decision to Misericordia.

Jordan led the men's team, as he won the 100- (53.19) and 200-yard backstroke (2:03.65) for the team. Freshman
Jake Booth (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) added a win in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:51.15 and junior
Will Gillespie (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) posted a win in the 200-yard butterfly (2:12.41).

Booth added two second-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.12) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:03.77). Jordan took second in the 100-yard butterfly (55.27). Freshman
Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:51.70) and junior
Josh Caro (Ontario, Calif./Colony) finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.31).

On the women's side, the Warriors had three individual race winners, with junior
Elena Pikounis (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) winning the 200-yard butterfly (2:36.03), sophomore
Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) winning the 50-yard freestyle (25.63) and senior
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) winning the 200-yard breaststroke (2:32.73).

Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) took second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:44.67), sophomore
McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Pa./Holy Redeemer) was second in the 100- (1:03.17) and 200-yard backstroke (2:18.91) and freshman
Devon Kaiser (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) was the runner-up in the 200-yard individual medley (2:26.93).

The Warriors will have one more event before the Thanksgiving break, as they will head to the two-day Diamond City Invitational, which begins on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 9 a.m.
