WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With wins in nine of 14 events, the Lycoming College women's swim team was able to avenge a 2016 loss at Stevenson University, posting a 150-109 win at Lamade Gym Natatorium on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 4. The Lycoming men's swim team also notched a 127-46 win over Stevenson.

The women's team was led by four wins from freshman
Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban) and three wins from freshman
McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Pa./Holt Redeemer), who set a school record in the second straight meet, and junior
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro).

Zortman notched individual wins in the 200-yard freestyle (2:08.02), 50-yard freestyle (26.49) and 100-yard freestyle (58.56) before teaming with Zeller, Kramer and freshman
Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) to post a 1:47.42 to take the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Zeller reset the school record in the 100-yard backstroke, posting a 1:01.11, shaving .13 off the record she set on Oct. 21, and added a win in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:18.47. Kramer added wins in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:37.98) and the 100-yard individual medley (1:04.84). Wright also added an individual win with a great race in the 1,650-yard freestyle relay, just touching out a Stevenson competitor in 20:33.25.

The Warrior women improved to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the MAC and Stevenson fell to 2-4 overall, 2-2 in the MAC.

On the men's side, the Warriors (1-1 overall, 1-1 MAC) won 12 of the 14 races, led by three individual wins a piece from senior
Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./West Caldwell) and junior
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing).

Canavan won the 100-yard backstroke (57.19), 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.66) and the 100-yard individual medley (59.11). Jordan took first in the 50-yard freestyle (22.87), the 200-yard backstroke (2:12.07) and the 100-yard butterfly (57.29).

Canavan also won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:55.39 with junior
Michael Panczyszyn (Linden, Pa./Jersey Shore Area), freshman
Dom Berardelli (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) and sophomore
Michael Markle (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area). Jordan won the 200-yard freestyle relay with sophomore
Jordan Foster (Columbia, Pa./Oakland Mills), senior
Trevor Karchner (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) and Panczyszyn in 1:41.88.

Berardelli won the men's 1,650-yard freestyle relay in 22:09.56, as two others also won individual events for the team. Sophomore
Josh Caro (Ontario, Calif./Colony) took the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.76 and freshman
Caleb Beard (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:49.18.

The Mustang men are 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the MAC.

The Warriors get back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 11, when they head to Misericordia University for a 1 p.m. MAC double-dual meet that will also feature Hood College.
