Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Rob Smith (Middleburg, Pa./Selinsgrove) picked up a 6-2, 6-0 No. 2 singles win and teamed up with sophomore Mitch Wheary (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) at No. 1 doubles, picking up an 8-1 win, as he helped the Lycoming College men's tennis team to an 8-1 non-conference win over Misericordia University on Saturday morning, Oct. 7, at Bruce Henry Park.
 
With his singles win, Smith now has 26 singles wins his career, moving him into the top 10 in program history.
 
Senior Son Phan (Hanoi, Vietnam/High School for Gifted Students) earned a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles over Ethan Snyder. Senior Alhoun Lundy (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) won his team-leading fourth singles match of the season with his 6-2, 6-1 win over Trent Woolcock. Phan and Lundy teamed up at No. 2 doubles, defeating Woolcock and Snyder, 8-2.
 
Sophomore Spencer Pedersen (Poolrsville, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel) picked up a point at No. 5 singles, defeating Mario Delker 6-1, 6-0. The Warriors also benefited from two default wins.
 
The Warriors improved to 3-3 overall on the season while Misericordia fell to 0-4 overall.
 
Lycoming returns to the courts on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. when they take on FDU-Florham in a non-conference road match.
