Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Senior Alhoun Lundy (Hyde Park, N.Y./Franklin D. Roosevelt) picked up a win at No. 4 singles, providing the fifth and winning point, as the Lycoming College men's tennis team picked up a 5-4 non-conference win over Penn College on Tuesday evening, Oct. 5, at the Penn College Tennis Courts.

After teaming up with senior Son Phan (Hanoi, Vietnam/High School for Gifted) at No. 2 doubles, earning an 8-6 win over Garrett Benner and Joe Morrin, Lundy picked up the game-winning point with his 6-3, 7-5 win over Ethan Rosler at No. 4 singles. It was Lundy's team-best third singles win of the season as he's now 3-1. 

Sophomore Mitch Wheary (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) won his No. 1 singles match with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Niko Pascual and senior Rob Smith (Middleburg, Pa./Selinsgrove) picked up a point with his 6-4, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles over Benner. Wheary and Smith also teamed up at No. 1 doubles to earn an 8-6 win over Pascual and Will DeMarco.

Lycoming improved to 2-3 overall on the season while Penn College fell to 1-5.

The Warriors return to the courts on Saturday, Oct. 7, when they host Misericordia at Bruce Henry Park at 11 a.m.
