SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The 4x100 individual medley grouping of senior Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell), junior Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing), sophomore Devyn Goda (Reading, Pa./Reading) and sophomore Theo Gouskos (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) posted a time of 3:57.42 to edge out Elizabethtown College to highlight the Lycoming College swim team's performances at the Schweikert Relays at the O.W. Houts Gymnasium Natatorium on Friday night, Oct. 20.
 
Lycoming collected the one first-place finish while also notching one second, one third and two fourth-place finishes on the men's side and one second, one third and two fourth-place finishes on the women's side.
 
The Warrior men were able to hold off the Blue Jays in the 4x100-yard individual medley thanks to splits of less than a minute from Canavan, Jordan and Goda, which helped the team head into the final two laps with nearly a four-second lead.
 
Lycoming's men finished strong in the 3x100-yard breaststroke and 3x100-yard backstroke races, finishing second and third respectively. In the breaststroke, the group of Goda, sophomore Josh Caro (Ontario, Calif./Colony) and junior Michael Panczyszyn (Linden, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) posted a time of 3:16.67, just getting touched out by less than two-tenths of a second by King's. The backstroke group of Jordan, Canavan and junior Sammy Sherrard (Warren, Pa./Warren Area) posted a time of 2:56.19 to take third.
 
On the women's side, the team finished second in the 3x100-yard breaststroke relay and third in the 4x100-yard individual medley relay to highlight the night.
 
In the breaststroke, junior Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro), freshman Mikayla Wright (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) and junior Nina McGahey (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua) finished in 3:49.92. Kramer, Wright, senior Brianna Zawadzki (Austin, Texas/Round Rock) and McGahey posted a time of 4:42.16 in the individual medley relay.
 
The Warriors capped the night with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, using the team of freshman McKenna Zeller (White Haven, Pa./Holy Redeemer), Goda, freshman Brandon Vought (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) and freshman Cara Zortman (York, Pa./York Suburban), to post a time of 1:49.62, just being edged out by King's.
 
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 21, when they host their home-opening dual meet against Albright College in Middle Atlantic Conference action at 1 p.m. in Lamade Gym Natatorium.
