As has seemingly been custom for running backs in the
Mike Clark era, senior
Blake Bowman is looking to leave a large impact on the college's record book. Some milestones that Bowman, who set a school single-season record with 18 rushing touchdowns is approaching include:
- 162 rushing yards from becoming 10th running back in school history to reach 2,000 in a career
- 3 touchdowns from becoming sixth player in school history to rush for 25 in a career
- 1 100-yard rushing game from tying Cory Sheridan, Joe Parsnik and Kevin McVey for sixth in school history with eight
- 75 all-purpose yards from passing Ryan Wagaman (2007-10, 2322) for 14th in school history
- 6 points away from becoming the 15th Warrior in program history to score 150 points in a career
- 3 touchdowns from tying Josh Kleinfelter for ninth in school history with 27 touchdowns scored
Whiteman finds his stride
Senior quarterback
Chase Whiteman has recorded three straight weeks of completing more than 70 percent of his passes dating back to week nine of his junior season. The streak started when he completed 27-of-38 (71 percent) against Delaware Valley to lead the Warriors to a 43-42 win. He followed that by going 16-of-20 in a 38-14 win over Misericordia to cap his junior year. To begin his senior season, he went 15-of-18 for 133 yards and a touchdown against Susquehanna.
Fall on it
The Warriors fell on three fumbles during the Stagg Hat Trophy win over Susquehanna. It was the most for the team since picking up three fumbles in a 31-7 win over Widener on Oct. 16, 2010. Junior
Mike Ward picked up the first one on the third play of the game at the Lycoming 44-yard line, which led to a 56-yard touchdown drive. In the second quarter, senior
Adin Hines forced a fumble that senior
Dan Heinrichs picked up. Later in the quarter, freshman
A.J. McAleer forced the ball out of Susquehanna's quarterbacks hands and sophomore
Sam Romanofsky fell on it, leading to another touchdown drive.
Fresh catches
The Warriors caught 15 passes against Susquehanna, with 11 of those caught by sophomores. Sophomore
Nick Costello, who finished second on the team with 28 receptions in 2015, led the team with 52 yards and five receptions. Sophomore
Kyle Slivka-Fralin, who made just one catch in 2015, quintupled that output against Susquehanna, posting five catches for 42 yards and a touchdown. Sophomore
John Kim also caught one pass for nine yards.
