WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College football team was selected second in the Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference office announced on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Susquehanna topped the poll after reaching the NCAA Division III Championship quarterfinals in 2025, posting 34 points and four first-place votes. Lycoming was close behind with 30 points and two first-place votes, while Wilkes was third with 29 points and a first-place vote. Western Connecticut State (20), Catholic (14), Moravian (13) and Juniata (7) rounded out the poll.
Lycoming, which went 5-6 overall and 5-1 in the Landmark in 2025, finished third in the Landmark Conference in scoring offense (24.6) and in scoring defense (26.9), running off five wins in six weeks, including four straight to close the regular season in conference play.

Khalil Johnson (Laurel, Md./Atholton) and honorable mention kicker sophomore
Vasco Granitto (Dover, Del./Polytech).
Atsou also returns after earning Third Team D3football.com Preseason All-American honors, as the linebacker posted 84 tackles and 14.0 for loss as a sophomore.
Head coach
Mike Clark is tied for 28th among active Division III coaches with 94 career wins. He needs six more wins to become the first coach to reach 100 wins while coaching in the Landmark Conference.
Lycoming opens the 2026 season on Sept. 5, when it heads to TCNJ for a 1 p.m. non-conference game.
