GETTYSBURG, Pa. – With wins in five of the last seven bouts, four of the bonus-point variety, the Lycoming College wrestling team overcame a 10-point deficit to post a 24-16 win over Gettysburg on Friday, Dec. 9, at Bream Gymnasium.

th career win. Moving freshman
Hadyn Swartwood (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore) to 165 pounds, Swartwood posted an 11-0 major decision against Austin Roskos before senior
Nolan Barger (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) picked up a forfeit at 174 pounds to give Lycoming a 15-13 lead.

At 184 pounds, junior
Brandon Conrad (Bloomsburg, Pa./Bloomsburg) came back after giving up a third-period takedown that tied the match with a takedown of his own just 12 seconds into the period, getting in for a double leg to post the takedown.

Freshman
Travis Ogden (Clearfield, Pa./Clearfield Area) clinched the win at 197 pounds, dominating his matchup with Brandon Gallagher, taking a 12-1 lead in the first period before slamming Gallagher to the ground after giving up an escape and grabbing the pin in 2:48. Gettysburg (2-2 overall) rounded out the match with a decision at heavyweight to make up the eight-point margin.

The Warriors fell behind 10-0 after the first three bouts, with sophomore
Joe Santomarco (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) nearly pulling off a third-period comeback at 141, getting in on a shot for a takedown to tie the match, but Colin Devlin countered with his own takedown to get a 9-5 win.

At 149 pounds, Lansberry cut the lead in half with an 18-1 technical fall win over Traken Sutton in just 3:56. Gettysburg got three more points with a narrow win at 157 by sophomore
Trevor Corl (Bellefonte, Pa./Bellefonte) to d3wrestle.com contender Colin Kowalski, as a late takedown in the third period helped Kowalski earn a 5-2 win.

Lansberry's win tied him with Andy Lausier (1996-01) for second in school history with 121 career wins, while Barger picked up his 118
th career win with the forfeit win. Both are now within 10 wins of the school record of 127 set by Royce Eyer (1997-01).
