Zackary Collevechio (Summit Hill, Pa./Panther Valley) and sophomore
Rob Smith (Middleburg, Pa./Selinsgrove) each won their second straight singles matches to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team, but King's College posted a 7-2 non-conference win at Bruce Henry Park on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 27.
Smith got the Warriors on the board with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Ryan Hegerty at No. 3 singles before Collevechio posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Davide Fanelli at No. 5.
Lycoming (1-3 overall) also stayed in a few other close matches, making it a competitive match against King's (1-0 overall), as junior
Evan Bennetch (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Bible Baptist School) fell, 3-6, 7-6 (4), 11-9, at No. 4 singles and the doubles team of Collevechio and sophomore
Zachary High (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) dropped a 9-8 (4) decision at No. 3 doubles.
The Warriors get back on the court on Saturday, Oct. 3, when they head to Misericordia for a 1 p.m. match.
