High notches win against Crusaders

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Sophomore Zachary High (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) posted a superset tiebreaker win at No. 6 singles to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 23, at Bruce Henry Park, but Susquehanna University notched an 8-1 win.
 
High notched a 7-5, 4-6, 10-8 win over Ashton Collins to post the lone point for the Warriors (0-2 overall).
 
Junior Bryce Jones (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) and sophomore Rob Smith (Middleburg, Pa./Selinsgrove) narrowly fell at No. 1 doubles to Ben Ornstein and Ryan Seibert, 9-8 (4), and Jones also had a tough match at No. 1 singles, falling to Ornstein, 7-5, 6-3.
 
The Crusaders improved to 1-0 overall.
 
The Warriors will get back on the court when they head to FDU-Florham for a 12 p.m. match.
