Bryce Jones (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) posted a win at No. 1 singles to lead the Lycoming College men's tennis team, but Baptist Bible College notched an 8-1 win at the Birchwood Tennis & Fitness Club on Wednesday afternoon, March 4.

Jones dispatched Adam Benjamin, 6-3, 6-3, in the top singles slot to lead the Warriors (1-5 overall), but the Defenders (1-1 overall) swept all three doubles matches and posted five singles wins to clinch the match.

Several of the matches were close, with junior
Zackary Collevechio (Summit Hill, Pa./Panther Valley) and sophomore
Evan Bennetch (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Bible Baptist School) falling 9-7 to Wes Pincince and Dan Decker, 9-7, at No. 3, and sophomore
Son Phan (Hanoi, Vietnam) falling to Pincince, 9-8 (5) at No. 5 singles after falling behind 6-3 in the match. Collevechio also had a close match at No. 6 singles, falling 8-6 to Decker.

The Warriors get back on the court on Sunday, March 22, when they head to Elmira College for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
