YORK, Pa. – Two juniors –
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) and
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) – broke their own school records to pace the Lycoming College swim teams on the final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Sunday, Feb. 15, at the Graham Aquatic Center.
Endler set the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke for the third straight year, finishing fourth with a record 2:11.38, breaking his own school record of 2:12.72 set in 2014 by more than a second. He earned his sixth career All-MAC accolades, joining his fourth-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke from Saturday.
Thomas also broke his own school record in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing fourth in the race to earn second-team all-conference honors in 1:57.89, breaking his own mark of 1:58.03 set as a freshman in 2013. He is still the only swimmer in program history to post a time of under 2:00 in the race.
The Warrior men finished in seventh place with 288 points and the women also place seventh, posting 262 points. Albright (515) edged out Misericordia (508) for the men's team title and Messiah won the women's title with 628 points.
Two Warriors earned Second Team All-MAC honors in the women's 200-yard breaststroke, with sophomore
Jess Wimmer (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) finishing fourth in 2:34.79 for her first career all-conference accolades and junior
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) finishing fifth for her fourth career all-conference honors, finishing in 2:36.42.
Two more women raced in the finals of the 200-yard butterfly, with senior
Danielle Loiseau (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) finishing fourth in 2:13.35, just three-tenths of a second off the school record, and she finished her career with six individual all-conference awards, also earning Second Team All-MAC honors in the 100-yard butterfly on Saturday. Senior
Alexia Follweiler (New Ringgold, Pa./Panther Valley) took seventh in 2:17.20.
Freshman
Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) earned his first career all-conference accolades in the men's 200-yard backstroke, finishing sixth in 1:59.46 to earn the second-team honors. He missed his own school record by 0.42 seconds. Also swimming in the finals, junior
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) took eighth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.56 after qualifying in 48.23, the fourth-fastest time in program history.
The women's team also picked up Second Team All-MAC accolades in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as the team of senior
Brigid Clark (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield), Wimmer, Follweiler and Loiseau notched a time of 3:48.08. Louiseau capped the meet in incredible style, posting a split of 53.75 from the anchor position, a time that would have broken the school record by nearly six-tenths of a second.

Dan Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North), freshman
Eric Ahlberg (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe), freshman
Charlie Pletz (Robesonia, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) and Apostolu finished eighth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:15.94, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
In consolation finals, senior
T.J. Guminski (Ambler, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) finished 15
th in the men's 200-yard breaststroke, notching a season-best time of 2:21.86. For the women, senior
BethAnn Schwoyer (Williamsport, Pa./Homeschooled) finished 13
th in the 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 2:18.50 after qualifying for the consolation final in 2:17.23. Senior
Brigid Clark (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield) finished 16
th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 56.63 after posting a 56.34 in the preliminary race.
In the 1,650-yard freestyle, freshman
Joe Szerencsits (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) finished 17
th in 18:40.58 on the men's side and junior
Hannah Bischoff (Germantown, Md./Northwest) finished 18
th on the women's in 20:09.61.
The Warriors wrapped up the 2014-15 year by setting five school records at the conference meet and Woods defended his 100-yard butterfly title on Saturday night, Feb. 14. The men's team finished 6-3 in dual meets, its 13
th straight non-losing season and the women's team went 5-4, its 13
th straight winning campaign under head coach
