WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – With wins in 11 of the 14 events, the Lycoming College women's swim team helped 15
th-year head coach
Jerry Hammaker post his 100
th career win with the program, as Lycoming notched a 129-102 win over Stevenson in Middle Atlantic Conference action at Lamade Gym Natatorium on Saturday, Nov. 7. The men's team also notched its first win of the year, posting a 132-68 win over the Mustangs.

Four Warriors (2-1 overall, 2-1 MAC) added two individual wins – freshman
Rebecca Donohue (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain), senior
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Blue Mountain), freshman
Emilie Kramer (Wellsboro, Pa./Wellsboro Area) and freshman
Scarlet Ojeda (Slatington, Pa./Northern Lehigh) – to lead the women's team to the win over the Mustangs (1-4 overall, 1-2 MAC).

"It was so great today," Hammaker, who improved to 100-43-1 in his career, said. "The women's team was so pumped up. It was neat how they acknowledged it. In the team room afterwards, they said something. It goes to all the teams all the way back – we have had just a great group of women over the years. They are so supportive and so dedicated to the program. The wins are theirs – it just happens to be me who get recognized for it."

Donohue won both the 1,000- (12:46.84) and the 500-yard freestyle (6:03.30), Flynn took the 100- (1:12.75) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:42.88), Kramer took the 50- (26.30) and 100-yard freestyle (57.11) and Ojeda took the 200- (2:27.97) and 100-yard butterfly (1:08.74).

Lycoming won eight of the first 10 events in the long-format meet and ran exhibition races for the last four events.

Junior
Jess Wimmer (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) won the 200-yard freestyle (2:14.06) and the team won both the 200-yard medley relay (2:01.14) with the team of senior
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen), Flynn, Ojeda and Wimmer and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:49.49) with the team of Sloyer, Donohue, junior
Morgan Black (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) and Kramer.

On the men's side, the Warriors won all 14 events, led by three each from seniors
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) and
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran), as the Warriors posted a 132-68 win, running exhibition for the last five events.

Apostolu posted wins in the 200- (1:57.33), 50- (23.02) and 100-yard freestyle (51.47) and Thomas added wins in the 200- (2:07.48) and 100-yard butterfly (55.60) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:40.08) to lead the Warriors (1-2 overall, 1-2 MAC) and help Coach Hammaker win his 94
th meet with the men's team.

Senior
D.J. Cunningham (McAdoo, Pa./Hazleton Area) notched wins in the 1,000- (12:16.93) and 500-yard freestyle (5:53.15), freshman
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) took the 100- (57.32) and 200-yard backstroke (2:05.38) and senior
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) won the 100- (1:03.13) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:21.84).

The team also posted two relay wins, with the team of Jordan, Endler, Thomas and sophomore
Craig Weeks (Wind Gap, Pa./Pen Argyl) posting a time of 1:43.27 in the 200-yard medley relay and the team of Apostolu, Weeks, Jordan and Endler notching a time of 1:35.09 in the 200-yard freestyle relay.

The Warriors get back in the pool on Sunday, Nov. 8, when they head to Wilkes for a 2 p.m. Middle Atlantic Conference dual meet.
