SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Seniors
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) each posted third-place finishes to lead the Lycoming College swim teams on Friday night, Nov. 20, at the Swarthmore Invitational.

Sloyer notched a career-best time of 5:35.91, besting her previous-best in the event by nearly 10 seconds, in the 500-yard freestyle, as she finished behind only swimmers from Salisbury and Swarthmore.

Apostolu added a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a season-best time of 22.48, finishing behind only swimmers from Salisbury and Swarthmore. Freshman
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) also added a top-10 finish in the race, posting a time of 22.97.

Two Warriors also finished in fourth place in the 200-yard individual medley, with senior
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) notching a time of 2:21.07, her fastest time in the event since her sophomore year, and senior
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) notching a time of 2:06.17, with that time just two seconds off his career best.

Andrew Canavan (Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell) also finished 10
th in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:07.01 and junior
Morgan Black (Douglassville, Pa./Daniel Boone) took 12
th in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.08.

The Warriors get back in the pool for the second day of the Swarthmore Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 21, at 9:30 a.m.
