FREDERICK, Md. – Freshman
Callan Jordan (Hurley, N.Y./Western Academy of Beijing) and senior
Josh Thomas (Fort Wayne, Ind./Concordia Lutheran) each posted a relay and individual win to lead the Lycoming College swimming teams on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Hood, but the Blazers were able to post a 123-79 win on the men's side and a 126-78 win on the women's side in Middle Atlantic Conference action.

Jordan and Thomas were both a part of the men's 200-yard medley relay, which just touched out the Blazers by three-hundredths of a second to win in 1:39.85. Jordan started the race with the backstroke before senior
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) completed the breaststroke, helping to close within two-tenths of Hood. Thomas followed with the butterfly, touching the wall with a seven-tenth lead and senior
Dan Apostolu (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) was able to hold off Dillon Marier in the race's 50 yards to get the win.

Thomas followed that by winning the 100-yard butterfly in 54.39 and Jordan won the 100-yard backstroke in 54.28. Endler also nearly had a win in the 100-yard breaststroke, falling to B.J. Daisey by just seven-tenths of a second, finishing in 1:03.92.

The Warriors fell to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the MAC while Hood improved to 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the MAC.

On the women's side, senior
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) led the team, posting a win in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:11.74. Senior
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) also nearly posted a win in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:46.56 to finish second by just eight-tenths of a second in her first time running the race this year.

The Warriors fell to 1-1 overall and 1-1 in the MAC while Hood improved to 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the MAC.

The Warriors get back in the pool on Saturday, Nov. 7, when they host Stevenson at 1 p.m. in another Middle Atlantic Conference meet at Lamade Gym Natatorium.
