YORK, Pa. – Junior Dan Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) became the first Lycoming College men's swimmer since 2006 to win a Middle Atlantic Conference title as he set a MAC record in the 100-yard butterfly (50.73) to lead the Warriors on the third night of the conference championships on Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Graham Aquatic Center.

Woods , who had the fourth-best qualifying time, turned it on in the finals, as he made the second turn in third place but distanced himself from Hood's Alex Bodine and Albright's Alex Bauer in the final 50 yards, posting a meet-best 26.98 split on the second lap to secure the MAC record time of 50.73. He also smashed his own 100-fly record of 52.07 set at the Swarthmore Invite in December and fell just 0.5 seconds from a NCAA 'B' qualifying time.

Two races later, Woods got back in the pool and finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 58.84, smashing the school record of 1:00.81 set by sophomore teammate Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) at the 2013 MAC Championships.
