GLENSIDE, Pa. – With just a six-point lead after nine events, the Lycoming College women's swim team posted four straight individual wins to help seal a 150-110 win over Arcadia University in a Middle Atlantic Conference dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 18. The Lycoming men won both relays and five individual events en route to a healthy 166-90 win.

The Warriors' depth proved to be the deciding factor in the meet, as the men earned 99 of the 166 points in the meet came from placing second through fifth, while Arcadia earned just 27. The women, likewise, excelled in filling the points-earning places, posting 87 points in places second through fifth, while Arcadia notched just 43.

The Warrior men improved to 3-4 overall, while Arcadia fell to 3-8. The Warrior women improved to 4-4 overall while Arcadia fell to 5-7.

The women distanced themselves from the Knights in the final four individual events, as freshman
Jess Wimmer (Souderton, Pa./Souderton Area) posted wins in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:42.08) and the 400-yard individual medley (5:10.93) to lead the charge. Sophomore
Felicia Sloyer (East Greenville, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) added a win in the 500-yard freestyle (5:52.57) and junior
Danielle Loiseau (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) won the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.72) during the run.

Jennie Marosits (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) posted a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle (12:21.72), while sophomore
Jilly Flynn (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) notched a win in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.76) and junior
Alexia Follweiler (New Ringgold, Pa./Panther Valley) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:21.74).

On the men's side, the Warriors got two individual wins from senior
Dan Woods (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North), as he took the 100-yard breaststroke (1:03.11) and the 100-yard butterfly (55.16). Senior
Jack Port (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) took the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:17.96), senior
C.J. Arhontakis (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) won the 50-yard freestyle (22.70) and sophomore
Trevor Endler (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick) won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.03).

Jake Pelinsky (Southwick, Mass./Westfield), Woods and Arhontakis took the race with a time of 1:43.76 and the 200-yard freestyle team of Apostolu, Pelinsky, Arhontakis and senior
Zack Brower (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) posted a time of 1:32.85 to win by four seconds over the Lycoming 'B' team.

The Warriors wrap up the dual meet portion of its season at the Catholic Youth Center with a double-dual meet against King's (Pa.) and FDU-Florham on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m.
