ANNVILLE, Pa. – Junior Alex Bottorff (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) improved his time on the Union Canel Tunnel Park 8K course by nearly 50 seconds, leading the Lycoming College men's cross country team at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 7. Both the men's and women's teams posted 10th-place finishes.
 
For the women, junior Georgiana White (Williamsport, Pa./Glynn Academy (Ga.)) led the way, as she finished in 29th place with a time of 21:29.94. Freshman Sarah Donovan (Bergen, N.Y./Byron-Bergen) added a time of 22:10.72 to finish in 55th and sophomore Anna Summers (Paxinos, Pa./Shamokin Area) finished in 22:23.37 to take 59th.
 
Rounding out the scorers for the Warriors, junior Kelsey Rawson (Waldorf, Md./North Point) finished in 23:13.86 to take 77th and junior Alanna Cimerol (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) added a time of 23:36.72 to take 84th place.
 
Freshman Victoria Wilson (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland) came in 86th with a time of 23:45.11 and sophomore Lindsay Decker (Shapleigh, Maine/Massabesic) finished 87th with a time of 23:46.11. Rounding out the Warrior runners, senior Meredith Ellmore (Lothian, Md./Southern) posted a time of 23:58.89, sophomore Rachel Salmon (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) finished in 24:18.39 and freshman Jacqueline Croteau (Islip, N.Y./Islip) posted a time of 25:34.72.
 
In the men's race, Bottorff was one of three runners that posted career-best times on the Union Canel Tunnel course, as he dropped his best time at the race from 32:22.85 to 31:48.56 while finishing 69th.
 
Sophomore Peter Rittenhouse (Green Lane, Pa./Quakertown Community) notched a time of 32:09.69 to place 73rd and senior Cory Trego (Pottstown, Pa./Coventry Christian School) posted a time of 32:33.45 to take 76th. Junior Will Dietz (Mansfield, Pa./Mansfield) posted a time of 33:16.88 to take 85th, finishing just ahead of sophomore Josh Allabaugh (Nanticoke, Pa./Greater Nanticoke), who posted a career-best time of 33:25.19 at the course to take 88th, as he dropped more than a minute off his 2012 time.
 
Sophomore Austin Sungenis (Greencastle, Pa./Oakland Mills (Md.)) dropped 4:30 off his time in 2012 at the LVC Invitational, as he notched a time of 33:53.94 to take 92nd and freshman Bryant Dietrick (Muncy, Pa./Muncy) took 93rd with a time of 33:55.87.
 
Rounding out the Warriors' entries, freshman John Woodburn (Fredericksburg, Va./Riverbend) posted a time of 34:50.90, sophomore Jacob McClain (Cogan Station, Pa./Jersey Shore) finished in 36:00.53, junior John Paul Keith (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) notched a time of 40:10.39, junior Colton Dersham (Lock Haven, Pa./Central Mountain) finished in 40:27.66 and sophomore Isaac Pawling (Columbia, Pa./Manheim Central) posted a time of 40:28.69.
 
The Warriors get back in action on Saturday, Sept. 14, when they head to Misericordia for the Cougar Classic at 10:30 a.m.
