SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Freshman
Maggie Slawson (Armagh, Pa./United) notched 11 kills against Susquehanna and sophomore
Bethany Richardson (York, Pa./West York) had 11 against Haverford, but the Lycoming College volleyball team dropped both matches, 3-0, on Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Hampton Inn Crusader Classic at O.W. Houts Gymnasium.

Richardson led the Warriors (4-4 overall) with 11 kills and two aces against the Fords, but the Fords (4-2 overall) were able to close out two close sets to take a 25-18, 25-22, 25-22 win.

Senior
Katelyn McKillop (Mount Pocono, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) notched 20 assists and 18 digs and both senior
Cortney Tice (Canton, Pa./Canton) and junior
Kristin Whitehead (Avon, Ohio/Avon) each added 16 digs for the Warriors. Freshman
Lauren Fink (York, Pa./West York) added four aces.

Meg O'Day led the Fords with 17 kills and Keri Godbe added 11 more.

Against Susquehanna (5-1 overall), Slawson notched 11 kills and hit a solid .393, but the Warriors dropped a tight first set, 29-27, before falling 25-12 and 25-13 to close out their run at the tournament.

McKillop finished with 21 assists and Richardson added six kills. Junior
Amber Seibel (McDonald, Pa./South Fayette) added 14 digs and freshman
Kirsten Myers (Windsor, Pa./Eastern York) posted 10 digs.

Susquehanna was led by 14 kills and 14 digs from Erin Byrne and Jessica Holm added 13 kills. Maggie O'Hearn posted 37 assists.

The Warriors get back into Commonwealth Conference action on Tuesday, Sept. 10, when they host Elizabethtown at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gym.
