Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – In his first match of the year, senior Devin Rachael (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore) clinched the match with a 6-4, 7-6 (3) win at No. 5 singles to lead the Lycoming College men’s tennis team to a 5-4 win over Arcadia in Commonwealth Conference action on Saturday, April 14 at the Weiss Tennis Courts.
 
Junior Jason Mifsud (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) reached 50 career wins in the meet, posting both singles and doubles wins to lead the Warriors (4-2 overall, 2-0 Commonwealth), giving him 28 singles wins and 22 doubles wins.
 
Mifsud and junior Cody Heffner (Williamsport, Pa./Muncy) helped the Warriors get out to a good start in doubles play, posting an 8-1 win over Christopher Finney and Marc Ruggia at No. 1. Junior Frankie Casale (Montoursville, Pa./Loyalsock Township) and sophomore Chris Connolly (Montoursville, Pa./Williamsport Area) added an 8-6 win over Jeremy Garcia and Patrick Rohrbaugh at No. 2 before Arcadia got a point at No. 3 doubles.
 
Mifsud gave Lycoming a 3-1 lead with a  6-1, 6-0 win over Finney at No. 1 singles and Casale made it 4-1 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Garcia. After three losses followed, Rachael clinched the win with the tiebreaker win over Max Amiel at No. 5 singles.
 
Arcadia falls to 4-7 overall and 1-2 in the Commonwealth.
 
The Warriors get back on the court on Tuesday, April 17, when they head to Elizabethtown for a Commonwealth Conference match at 4 p.m.
