Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Freshman Anthony Fabiano (Hughesville, Pa./Hughesville Area) won his first career singles and doubles match to help lead the Lycoming College men’s tennis team to a 6-3 win over Misericordia on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 11, at Bruce Henry Park.
 
Fabiano, playing in his second collegiate match, joined with junior Jordan Dubinsky (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) to post an 8-6 win over A.J. Grasso and Tony Goodall at No. 3 doubles and he added a 6-2, 6-1 win over Shane Hall at No. 4 to help the Warriors (1-1 overall) to two of its six points.
 
Sophomore Sean Marshall (Waverly, N.Y./Athens Area (Pa.)) added a singles and doubles win as well, posting an 8-4 win with freshman Jelani Martinez (Spring Hill, Fla./New York Military Academy) at No. 2 doubles against Hall and Robert Knipper. He then posted a 6-0, 6-3 win over Knipper at No. 3 singles.
 
For Lycoming’s other two points, senior Jason Mifsud (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville Area) improved to 4-1 on the season with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Sal Saraniti at No. 1 singles and junior Jack Port (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) added a 6-3, 6-2 win over Randy Sophabmixay at No. 6.
 
Misericordia fell to 0-4 overall.
 
The Warriors will now have a short two-day turnaround before heading to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., for the Middle Atlantic Conference Individual Championships, which begin on Saturday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. at Kirby Park.
