Box Score 1 WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – A short-handed Lycoming College men’s tennis team played a pair of matches on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Wilkes-Barre, falling to Wilkes, 8-1, before falling to King’s, 7-2, in the nightcap.
 
Junior Jason Mifsud (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) had a strong day for the Warriors, beating Wilkes’ Steven Wilson at No. 1 singles, 1-6, 6-2, 10-2 in a super-set  tiebreaker before falling in a close match with King’s Chris Cazzillio, 7-6, 7-5, in the second match.
 
Junior David Brown (Montoursville, Pa./Montoursville) picked up a win at No. 2 singles against King’s Tony Bevevino, 6-4, 6-1, and junior Cody Heffner (Williamsport, Pa./Muncy) added a 7-5, 3-6, 10-5 win over Tyler Young at No. 3 in the King’s match.
 
The Warriors (1-2 overall) wrap up their fall dual meet schedule on Thursday, Oct. 6 when they head to Juniata for a 1 p.m. match.
