SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Sophomore
Michelle Herman (Altoona, Pa./Hollidaysburg) led the Lycoming College cross country team at the NCAA Mideast Regionals on Saturday, as she took 134th in a field of 314 runners in the women's 6,000-meter race at Cooper's Lake Campground.
Herman posted a time of 25:35.1 to lead the Warriors, who sent five runners, one woman and four men, to the event, the most men to attend an event in head coach Lesley Larson's two years as a head coach.
Freshman Michael Puchalski (Redlands, Calif./Redlands East Valley) led the Warrior men by placing 219th with a time of 30:33.4 in the field of 316 runners. Senior
Jake Lewis (Mickleton, N.J./Kingsway Regional) followed behind with a time of 32:21.4 to take 279 and junior Robert Wiechecki (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) was close behing, posting a 32:40.1 to take 285th.
Sophomore
Kevan Guerin (Lebanon, Pa./Ceder Crest) posted a personal-record as he took 290th in the field, finishing in 33:01.2.
