WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - The Lycoming College cross country team hosted its first Alumni Run on Saturday morning, Oct. 16, as part of the College’s Homecoming celebration. The event was a success, with nine alumni competing in the fun run that included a route down the Williamsport River Walk.
All alumni were invited out to the event, and the nine that attended included 2010 cross country team graduates Steve Brown, Kari Smith and Scott Boyles. Ellen Furman ’07, Meredith Leader ’03, cross country team head coach Lesley Larson ’00, Mike Basch ’84, Chuck McCall ’73 and the program’s founder, John Piper, all attended the run.
The Warriors get back into action this weekend, as they head to Philadelphia for the Cabrini Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 11 a.m. The race is a tune-up for the MAC Championships, which will be held on Oct. 30.
